Picture of Nuclear Earth Nuclear Earth is a simple, easy-to-use interactive nuclear map that allows you to view the world's nuclear facilities through a satellite imagery-based interface.* Nuclear Earth provides:
  • A useful tool for research, market assessments, and presentations to management via a one-stop portal that brings the world’s nuclear industry into your office in stunning visual images, as well as in terms of associated data available from NAC databases and links to public websites

  • KML file with current, future, and shutdown facilities

  • Access to built-in Google Earth features such as roads, rail, terrain, volcanoes, and earthquakes as well as the ability to add custom geographic information system (GIS) data**

  • View driving directions between facilities (not available in all countries)

Facility markers on the world nuclear map are distinguished by color and shape to indicate facility type and operating status. Facilities are layered, allowing the user to turn individual or groups of facilities on or off.

  • Commercial nuclear fuel cycle facilities (operating, future, and shutdown)
  • Data on detailed facility type, startup and shutdown dates, operating status, and reactor capacity
  • Link to facility owner website
  • Updated twice per year
